Bang Bang Salsa is a Salsa school in Sydney’s Northern Beaches dedicated to the creation and development of communities who love to dance. Our classes combine traditional Salsa with movement ideas from Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and expressive free dance. Our classes, parties and events give you the confidence and opportunity to dance on your own or with other people in a free and spirited way.
The Level 1 class teaches the basic Salsa steps, the skills of leading and following and introduces you to the glorious music of Africa and Latin America. The Level 2 class develops your ability to move in time and teaches you a collection of Salsa moves that can be combined in a multitude of ways. The Level 3 class introduces more moves and explores the art of dancing together at a deeper level.
It's a brilliant thing to do. Balance, body awareness, confidence and your non-verbal communication skills all develop along with your ability to dance .
There is a great deal of laughter each Thursday night. We seek a safe, supportive atmosphere that makes it easy to learn.
Class Timetable
Classes are held at Avalon Recreation Centre which can be found at55 Old Barrenjoey Rd Avalon Beach. The classes are
6.30pm – 7.30pm Level 3
7.30pm – 8.30pm Level 1 and Level 2
8.30pm - 10.00pm Bang Bang Salsa Club!
Bookings and discounts
Level 1 is a ten week course that is $175 per person. Prepaying the term prior to commencement of classes is only $150 or $290 for a couple.Levels 2 and 3 are drop-in classes. It's $20 for one class or $25 for both. Prepaying the ten week block of classes prior to commencement is $175 for one class or $225 for both.

Bang Bang Salsa can provide performances, dance classes and a world music DJ service for parties, community events or corporate functions. Private lessons are available by appointment.
