Body Logic - Bang Bang Salsa

To dance is to celebrate life!

Bang Bang Salsa is a Salsa school in Sydney’s Northern Beaches that combines traditional Salsa with movement ideas from Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and expressive free dance. The aim of our classes is to give you the confidence to dance on your own or with other people in a free and spirited way.

The Level 1 class teaches the basic Salsa steps and the skills of leading and following. The Level 2 class teaches you a collection of Salsa moves that can be combined in a multitude of ways. The Level 3 class explores Cuban style salsa. It explores the art of dancing together at a deeper level. As you may expect, balance, body awareness and presence are features of these classes.

Trance-inducing world music, imagery and story are used to explore free movement, in exercises that are often done with the lights turned off. There is a great deal of laughter in this class, the goal being to make a safe atmosphere that enables you to feel free to really express yourself.

The benefits extend far beyond the dance floor.

Classes are held at Avalon Recreation Centre on a Thursday evening during the school term. The address is 55 Old Barrenjoey Rd Avalon Beach.

6.30pm – 7.30pm        Level 1
7.30pm – 8.30pm        Level 2
8.30pm – 9.30pm        Level 3

The next beginners course commences Thursday October the 16th

Bang Bang Salsa also provides performances, lessons and a world music DJ service for parties and other social or corporate functions.
