FM Alexander, the Australian founder of the technique, spoke of the use of the self; meaning the body and mind as an inseparable whole. He recognised that the way you organise your body has a fundamental influence on the way you think, feel and live your life. The movements and concepts explored in lessons are the building blocks of effortless action. The technique can be applied to any movement or any skill with long lasting benefit.
